Sub: Recommendation No.67 of the Railway Accidents Enquiry Committee, 1978 (Sikri Committee) – Implementation of.

1. Reference this Ministry’s letters No.E(G)83/FE1/4, dated 29.04.1988 (RBE No.82/1988), 15.02.1989 (RBE No.41/1989) and subsequent letters No.E(G)90/FE-1/1, dated 11.05.1992 (RBE No.76/1992), 28.01.1993 (RBE No.20/1993) and 24.08.1993 (RBE No.126/1993) on the above subject.

2. Ministry of Railways have further reviewed the matter and have decided that individual requests from JA Grade Offices and above may be considered for allowing second membership of National/International Institution/Society in deserving cases with the approval of the Board. Such officers shall also be allowed reimbursement of 90% of membership/subscription fees.

3. These orders will take effect from the date of issue of this letter. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the ministry of Railways.
