Reference Ministry of Railways letters No.E(G)90 FE1-1, dated 29.04.1988 (RBE No.82/1988) and 15.02.1989 (RBE No.841/1989) and subsequent letters of even number dated 11.05.1992 (RBE No.76/1992) and 28.01.1993 (RBE No.20/1993) on the above subject.

The ministry of Railways have again reviewed the matter further and have decided that the Junior Scale officers as well as the Senior Supervisor in Grade Rs.2000-3200 (RPS) and Rs.2375-3500 (RPS) may also be permitted to become member of one National or one International Institution/Society and should be reimbursed the 90% of membership/subscription fees. In the case of Senior Supervisors, this may be granted by the General Manager on case to case basis.

These instructions will be applicable from the year 1993.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
