State Railway Provident Fund: RBE No.61/1986 – Retirement benefits

Sub:   Retirement benefits under the State Railway Provident Fund Rules.

Reference Para 2 of the then Ministry of Railways’ letter of even number dated 15.10 1974 regarding benefits given under the State Railway Provident Fund. 

The Department of Railways have, with the concurrence of the Ministry of Finance, decided that the maximum ceiling Omit for Special Contribution to State Railway Provident Fund shall be raised to “16-1/2 months’ pay or Rs.50000 (Rupees Fifty thousand only) whichever is less”. These orders take effect from 31.03.1985 and will be applicable in the case of those railway servants who retire on or after 31.03.1985.
