Sub: Eligibility for selection to the post of Welfare Inspector s in grade Rs.425-640 (RS).
Ref: Shri L.S. Vaghashia, CPO’s DO letter No.DLW/ES/Policy, dated 15.05.1986 on the above subject address to Shri Thiruvengadam.
The matter has been considered carefully by the Board and the points raised in the DO letter under reply are classified as under:

| (a) | Is a ministerial staff in grade Rs.330-560 with less than 5 years service in this grade, who is a graduate and has 7 years or more of total service eligible for selection to the post of Welfare Inspector (Rs.425-640) ? |

| (b) | Are Artisan staff in grade Rs.260-400 who are graduates and have completed 7 years of service eligible for this post ? |
Yes. |
| (c) | Are Class-IV staff who are graduates and have more than 7 years service eligible for this post ? |
No. |
The Board have further decided that passed cases decided otherwise need not be reopened.
