Sub: Absorption in RITES and IRCON.

Dear Sir,

I am directed to refer to Department of Railways’ letter of even number dated 08.05.1986 (RBE No.93/1986) on the above subject wherein it has been stated that individual proposals for absorption in RITES/ IRCON should be sent by RITES/ IRCON to the Department of Railways. It is clarified that this provision relates to the absorption of Gazetted Railway Officers only. As regards the absorption of non-gazetted staff in RITES/ IRCON, as per existing procedure, the General Managers of Indian Railways are competent to decide their cases in terms of extant rules and no change is envisaged in this regard.
