RBE No.100/1995: GDCE – Extension of Scheme

Sub: Introduction of General Departmental Competitive Examination for filling up 25% direct recruitment vacancies in certain Group ‘C’ categories.
Ref: Board’s letter of even number dated 20.08.1993 (RBE No.129/1993) on the above subject.

1. As the Railways are aware the scheme of GDCE was introduced under Board’s letter of even number dated 20.08.1993 (RBE No.129/1993) for a period of one year.
2. The question of extending the scheme has been under consideration of the Board and it has now been decided that pending receipt of the feedback from the Railways in response to Board’s letter of even number dated 01.07.1994 and 19.05.1995, the scheme may be extended up to 31.12.1995 as an internal measure.
