Sub: Facilities to recognised Trade Unions – Facilities of passes and special casual leave.
The Department of Railways, after discussions with the organised labour, have decided that para 1 of letter No.E(LU)71/UT3/3, dated 9th March, 1971 dealing with the scale of card passes to the union officials at the Zonal level, may be amended to read as under:
“1. At the Zonal Level:
(i) Card passes for the office bearers of Zonal Unions will be issued at the rate of one card pass per Division, keeping the minimum number as six;
(ii) Two of the card passes mentioned in (i) above will be general card passes, i.e. in favour of “one office bearer of the union”, as at present, and the rest of the card passes will be issued by name and designation of the office bearers; and
(iii) Card passes which are issued in the specific names and designations of the office bearers will also be made available upto Delhi/New Delhi.”
