Sub: Provision of seeking vigilance clearance before nomination of members of selection committee.

Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)I/95/PM 1/14, dated 03.03.1998 (RBE No.52/1998).

(ii) Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)I/2019/PM1/20, dated 19.12.2019 (Master Circular No.31).

Attention is drawn to Board’s letter No.E(NG)I/2019/PM1/20, dated 19.12.2019 (Master Circular No.31) wherein para 5 provides procedure for nomination of members of selection committee/ selection board.

Vigilance Directorate has advised for incorporation of the provision of seeking vigilance clearance before nomination of members of selection committee in the guidelines dated 19.12.2019 (Master Circulars No.31) ibid.

The matter has been considered and it has been decided that prior vigilance clearance of officers shall have to be ensured before nomination of officers in the Selection committee.
