1. Attention is invited to the extant instructions contained in the Board’s letter referred to above and other instructions issued from time to time inter alia stipulating that selections should be held at regular intervals and that calendar should be maintained for conducting selection/ suitability/ trade test. Timely holding of selection/ suitability/ trade test obviate the need to make stop gap arrangements involving promotion of staff on ad-hoc basis.
2. The NFIR in the PNM vide item No.9/96 had raised a demand in this regard and the matter was discussed in the PNM-NFIR Meeting held on 10-11.03.1996. After discussion, it was decided to reiterate the instructions for filling up vacancies in regular manner and in time.
3. Board accordingly desire that extant instructions regarding holding selections/ suitability/ trade test at regular intervals should be scrupulously followed so that the promotional vacancies are filled in regular manner and in time.
