RBE No. 55/2006: Night Duty Allowance

Sub: Rates of Night Duty Allowance w.e.f. 01.01.2006.

1.     Consequent to sanction of an additional installment of Dearness Allowance vide this Ministry’s letter No.PC-V/97/I/7/14, dated 05.04.2006 (RBE No. 46/2006), the President is pleased to decide that the rates of Night Duty Allowance, as notified vide Annexure ‘A’ and ‘B’ of Board’s letter No.E(P&A)II-2005/HW-1, dated 25.10.2005 (RBE No. 179/2005) stand revised with effect from 01.01.2006 as indicated at Annexure ‘A’. In respect of ‘Continuous’, ‘Intensive’, ‘Excluded’ categories and workshop employees, and as indicated at Annexure ‘B’ in respect of ‘Essentially Intermittent’ categories respectively.

2.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

ANNEXURE-A

Rates of Night Duty Allowance with effect from 01.01.2006 for ‘Intensive’, ‘Continuous’ and ‘Excluded’ categories and workshop staff at the various places classified as ‘A1’, ‘A’, ‘B1’, ‘B2’ and ordinary localities including ‘C’ Class Cities.
