Sub: Promotion from Group ‘B’ to Group ‘A’ and within Group ‘A’ of Railway Officers – Circumstances in which case is to be kept in sealed cover – regarding.

1. The matter has since been reviewed by the Board and it has been decided that the instructions contained in the letter of even number dated 24.01.2003 (RBE No. 22/2003) may be treated as withdrawn with immediate effect.
2. The sealed cover procedure laid down in Board’s letter No.E(D&A)92 RG6-149(B), dated 21.01.1993 (RBE No. 14/1993) should be followed.
