RBE No. 113/2007: Reimbursement – Cost of Shoes

Sub: Reimbursement of cost of shoes in favour of Gangmen (Trackmen), Keymen, Mates, Petrolmen, Gatemen and Trollymen.

Ref:  Board’s letter No.E(W)95 UN 1-19, dated 27.12.2005 (RBE No. 219/2005) and 22.11.2006 (RBE No. 172/2006).

1. In terms of Boards instructions referred to above, Gangmen (Trackmen), Keymen, Mates, Petrolmen, Gatemen and Trollymen and allied categories are to be supplied shoes of specification as laid down in the instructions. With a view to overcome the problem of distribution of shoes of wrong size, it has now been decided by Board that a payment of Rs.450 per year per employee may be made on trial basis subject to the employee wearing shoes.

2. Reimbursement of the amount may be made to the employees only after they submit cash memo for purchase of the shows of the same specification as prescribed in Board’s letter dated 27.12.2005 (RBE No. 219/2005) and 22.11.2006 (RBE No. 172/2006) referred to above and a proper account of the same may be maintained by the Engineering Department on Railways. The Existing stock, if any, may please be exhausted first.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
