RBE No. 112/2007: Passes – Travel Entitlement – On Rajdhani & Shatabdi Express Trains

Sub: Travel entitlement for serving and retired GMs and Officers of equivalent rank in 1-AC/ Executive Class.

1. Board have decided to modify the rail travel facilities for travel on Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains and other Mail/ Express trains on Privilege and Post Retirement Complimentary Passes in respect of Officers in pay scale of Rs.24050-26000. Accordingly, in partial modification of the instructions as contained in Board’s letter of even number dated 16.02.2004 (RBE No. 30/2004) entitlement for travel by Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains and other Mail/ Express trains on Privilege and Postal Retirement Complimentary Passes in respect of General Manager and Offices of equivalent rank in the scale of Rs.24050-26000 and above stand revised as under:-

		2 berths in Second AC	Two seats in Chair Car
		Or
		Four berths in Third AC.

(*) entitled only on privilege pass as no post retirement complementary pass is admissible.

2. The above travel facility in First AC will also be applicable in Mail/ Express trains.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
