RBE No. 05/2008: Senior P. Way Supervisor – DR Qualifications

Sub: Educational qualification for direct recruitment to the category of Senior P. Way Supervisor in the pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 on the Railways.
1. In terms of instructions contained in Board’s letter No.E(NG)I-2007/PM5/5, dated 03.07.2007 (RBE No. 94/2007), the qualification prescribed for direct recruitment to the category of Senior P. Way Supervisor in the pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 is B.Sc. with Physics & Maths or Diploma holders in Engineering.
2. The above qualification has been reviewed in consultation with Civil Engineering Directorate of this Ministry and it has been decided that henceforth qualification for direct recruitment to the category of Senior P. Way Supervisor in the pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 will be Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. with Physics & Mathematics or B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics with Mathematics as secondary/ subsidiary subject or B.Sc. (Honours) with Maths with Physics as secondary/ subsidiary subject.
3. The qualification as laid down above for the post of Senior P. Way Supervisor will have prospective effect. Notifications already published by Railway Recruitment Boards and panels already made available to Railway Establishment will be governed by earlier instructions on the subject.
