RBE No. 04/2008: Creation of posts – New Assets

Sub: Creation of posts in Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ required for Maintenance and operation of new assets.

Ref: Board’s letter No.E(MPP)2003/1/88, dated 05.04.2006 (RBE No. 45/2006)

In continuation of Board’s letter No.E(MPP)2003/1/88, dated 05.04.2006 (RBE No. 45/2006), the issue of creation of posts in Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ for operation  and maintenance of new assets in higher grade has been considered and it has been decided that the DRMs may be allowed to create posts in higher grades by surrendering equivalent money value for the same with the approval of General Manager. Other instructions in this office letter No.E(MPP)2003/1/88, dated 05.04.2006 (RBE No. 45/2006), will remain the same.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
