In exercise of powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the president is pleased to direct that the Indian Railway Establishment Code, Volume-I, Fifth Edition-1985, (Second Reprint Edition-2003), may be amended as in the Advance Correction Slip No.96 follows:

Chapter-2, General Conditions of Service: Recruitment, Training and Promotion to Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ posts.

1. The existing sub-para (b) of para 214, the following phrase may be deleted:
“Except to the posts of Security Officer, Law Officer, Hindi Officer, Chemist and Metallurgist, Public Relation Officer and Superintendent, Printing and Stationery”
