Sub: Report on maintenance of Track Machines – Recruitment and promotion of staff in the Tempting Organization.

1. The report in connection with the maintenance of Track Machines was sent vide this Ministry’s letter No.83/WSG/TK/6, dated 31.03.1983. The Board’s approval to the technical recommendations has already been communicated vide letter No.83/WSG/TK/6, dated 20.03.1984.
2.1 The Committee had made recommendations in respect of recruitment and promotion to various grades in T.T. Organization vide Para 5.7 of the report.
2.2 After careful consideration of the report regarding recruitment and promotion office staff in T.T. Organization, concerned with the maintenance of machines, the Board have decided that the pattern in this regard will be as shown in the Annexure attached herewith. The pattern is in line with the extant orders regarding recruitment and promotion of staff in the technical cadres.

Classification of posts for T.T. Organization as recommended by committee of Chief Track Engineers:-

The Recommendation of selection and promotion to various grades in T.T. Organization is as under:-

Shop Supdt. Gr.Rs.840-1040

By promotion on Seniority-cum-suitability.

Dy. Shop Supdt./ Foremen Grade-I Rs.700-900

80% by promotion by selection from Asstt. Foremen Gr.Rs.550-750;

20% of the vacancies by direct recruitment of Engineering Graduates.

Foremen Grade-II/ Chargemen Grade ‘A’ Rs.550-700

By promotion of Chargeman Gr. ‘B’ in scale Rs.425-700 on seniority-cum-suitability.

Chargemen Gr. B Rs.425-700

50% of vacancies by direct recruitment for Diploma Holders;

20% of vacancies by promotion of Highly Skilled Filter in Rs.380-560 by selection;

25% of vacancies by departmental examination from amongst Highly Skilled Filters Grade-I and II who are Matriculates and are below 45 years of age. Employees working as H.S. Fitter Gr.II should have a minimum 3 years service in that grade.

Mechanic/ Fitter Gr.I Rs.380-560

By promotion from amongst Highly Skilled Fitter Grade II Rs.330-450 on Seniority-cum-suitability through Trade Test.

Highly Skilled Fitter Gr-II Rs.330-480

By promotion from among staff in grade Rs.260-400 based on seniority-cum-suitability through trade test.

Skilled Staff Grade Rs.260-400

25% of vacancies by direct recruitment form ITI friend personal/ Course Completed Act Apprentices/ Matriculates. Serving employees with requisite qualification are also eligible.

25% of vacancies by promotion of serving employees in the lower grade based on seniority-cum-suitability through trade test.

 

 

50% of vacancies by departmental examination from amongst serving employees in the lower grade who have put in 3 years service and are Matriculates.

100% by promotion from Khalasis in grade Rs.196-232 on passing trade test.

As per orders in force from time to time for filling in such posts.
