Ration Money: RBE No.205/2000 – Extra Duty Allowance to RPF/RPSF Personnel

Sub: Grant of Ration Money in lieu of Ration subsidy and Extra Duty Allowance to Non-gazetted RPF/RPSF Personnel with effect from 1^st August 1997 on introduction of revised scales of pay on the recommendations of V Central Pay Commission – Revision thereof.

1.     In continuation of the orders contained in this Ministry’s letters No.E(P&A)I-98/ALL/RPF/1, dated 01.04.1998 (RBE No.66/1998), 19.08.1998 (RBE No.188/1998) and E(P&A)I-99/ALL/RPF/1, dated 31.05.1999 (RBE No.121/1999), the President is pleased to decide that the non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel upto the rank of Inspector Grade-I (Rs.6,500-10,500) on the Railways shall be entitled to Ration Money Allowance @ Rs.614 per head per month with effect from 01.04.1999 to 30.09.1999 and @ Rs.640 per head per month with effect from 01.10.1999 until further orders.

2.     Other terms and conditions as stipulated in the Board’s letter No.E(P&A)I-98/ALL/RPF/1, dated 01.04.1998 (RBE No.66/1998) shall remain unchanged.

3.     This being effective from 01.04.1999, arrears as due may be calculated and disbursed, subject to availability of funds.

4.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
