Sub: Mileage Allowance for journeys on foot and bicycle.

1. The adequacy of the rate of mileage allowance for journeys on foot and bicycle was discussed in the 31^st Ordinary Meeting of the National Council (JCM), held on the 18^th and 19^th August, 1987, and it has been decided, in supersession of this Ministry’s letter of even No. dated 11.09.1987 (RBE No.356/1987), on the above subject, to further revise the rate of mileage allowance for journeys on foot and bicycle, on tour and transfer, to 30 paise per K.M.

2. This has the sanction of the President and these orders take effect from 18.08.1987.
