Casual Leave: RBE No.09/1999 – Entitlement for CL

Sub: Casual Leave.

Reference Board’s letter of even number dated 20.02.1998 (RBE No.44/1998) providing inter-alia that the category of railway staff who were entitled 15 days Casual Leave in a calendar year, their entitlement would stand reduced to 11 days W.e.f. 01.01.1998.

The matter has been considered further and accordingly the Ministry of Railways have decided that the categories of staff who were entitled to 11 days casual leave w.e.f. 01.01.1998 would now be allowed 10 days casual leave in a calendar year w.e.f. 01.01.1999 (i.e. reduced by 1/3^rd of the total).

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
