Restructuring: RBE No.49/1987 – Benefit to Retired Staff

Sub: Implementation of reclassification orders for various categories of artisan staff – Benefit to retired staff.

1. Reference this Ministry’s letters No.E(P&A)I-79/FE-4/2, dated 31.07.1986 (RBE No.131/1986) and E(P&A)I-86/JC-1/3, dated 04.08.1986 (RBE No.136/1986). It has been decided that this Ministry’s letter No.PC III/85/UPG-15, dated 22.08.1986 (RBE No.138/1986) granting benefit of restructuring orders to employees who would have quit service before implementation of the restructuring/ reclassification orders should equally apply to employees covered under letters dated 31.07.1986 (RBE No.131/1986) and 04.08.1986 (RBE No.136/1986) quoted above, subject to all the conditions laid down in the said letters dated 22.08.1986 (RBE No.138/1986).

2. This has the sanction of the President and issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
