Sub: Procedure for forming panel of Welfare Inspector Gr-III in the scale Rs.1400-2300 (RP)

1. Reference this Ministry’s letter number E(NG)I/65/PM1/37, dated 24.05.1966 regarding procedure for filling up posts of Welfare Inspectors in the Pay Scale of Rs.1400-2300 as modified/ clarified from time to time stimulating inter alia that the selection will be held on an all Railway basis by the Selection Board at the Headquarters.
2. In partial modification of these instructions the Ministry of Railways have decided that wherever the cadre of Welfare Inspectors has been decentralized wholly or partially, the selection may be conducted unit wise.
