615. Railway Employees Injured On Duty:-
A railway employee injured on duty in addition to treatment ordinarily admissible to others be entitled, free of cost, to such special nursing as the Authorized Medical Officer may certify in writing to be essential for the recovery or for the prevention of serious deterioration in the condition of a railway employee.
Note: The above concessions will also be admissible to railway employees on duty who receive injuries in connection with severe disturbances. For this purpose, railway employee in a disturbed area shall be considered on duty and any injury received by him as a result of those disturbances shall be held to have been received in the hours of duty, unless the facts of the case give a clear indication to the contrary. This also applies to railway employees on leave in a disturbed area in whose case it should be presumed, unless the facts of the case give a clear indication to the contrary, that he was attacked / injured in case he is a railway employee.

Sir, I am an assistant loco pilot , in northern railway Ambala division, I was injured on duty when I work on train and my right hand ring finger cut due to closing loco door suddenly, and I was in IOD about 75 days. So I want to know about km allowance give or not by railway for this period.

If a staff is out of Head Quarter, and become serious I’ll and hospitalization is done for treatment for 8-10 out of Head Quarter then the employee is counted in which type of leave?

I was injured and before 48 hours I informed JE. Two employees gave witness also. But JE didn’t allow me to get HOD. What should I do?
Sir, I am station Master of Kribhco and My TI send to me Kosad station for duty. Distance is 22 KM. when I go for duty at Kosad by bike and accident of my bike. My hands fracture. But Sr. DMO Surat say’s iam not covered under IOD.

Sir I am medical de categorised loco pilot so my post change to supernumerary post but on duty injury.my department and railway doctor give me IOD sick memo but personal office pay billing clerk inform to me that your IOD is not legal so I am not pay to you salary . Sir please advice me

I am a Dy. SS posted at Summit station in bhusaval division. Summit is approximately 18 KMS from manmad. Railway quarters are not available at Summit. I was officially allowed quarters at Manmad. One day while coming on night duty shift (01/09), I met with a road accident at approx 0040 hrs. Railway hospital was closed that time, so I was admitted to a private hospital….. Then I was under medical care for almost four months. I was initially given IOD but when I was declared fit by Railways doctor, my IOD was rejected and a letter was issued stating whole amount will be recovered from future paysheet. Please help me to resolve this issue.

In this case accident took place before reporting for duty, hence in my opinion it cannot be considered as ‘Injured on Duty’.

I am a working as a RPF employee.
Almost a week back I was injured in a bike accident while I was going to work place from home. Due to this ,one of my left ribs got injured and I am advised to take complete rest for two months. Kindly tell me whether this would be considered as injury-on-duty.
I am a tech in C&W deptt 10 mins before I am injured on road accident Sign on duty time , my work place & residence distance near about 9 km . Please reply Iam iod applicable .

Dear sir, I am A K Mahto C&W BOXN ROH Depot guntkal divisions me CBC me work since 2015 se kar rha hu dated 02 Aug 20 ko work ke dauran injured ho gaye nearest hospital me treatment chala or mughe sick me rakha do din ke bad mughe fit de diya duty join karne ko kaha gaya fir mera dard thik nhi hua fir mai private hospital me treatment karaya MRI repot me shows Discle bulg at L2-L3 with no root compression Discle bulge,broad based central/right paracentral protrusion at L5-S1 with the AL indentation,pressure over right traversing root. fir mai railway hospital treatment ke liye gaya treatment kiya fir fit de diya or mughe bataya ja rha hai pahle se problem hai duty ke dauran injured nhi hue ho jo ki galat hai mughe IOD bhi nhi diya gaya mai abhi bhi thik nhi hu or private hospital se ilaj kra rha hu preshan hu please suggest me.
