IREC Rule No.540: Leave Preparatory To Retirement
- Leave Preparatory To Retirement:-
A railway servant not desirous of encashment of leave on average pay at his credit at the time of retirement on superannuation may be permitted by a competent authority to take leave preparatory to retirement to the extent of leave on average pay due not exceeding 300 days together with half pay leave due subject to the conditions that such leave extends up to and includes the day preceding the date of retirement.

Note: The leave granted as leave preparatory to retirement shall not include extraordinary leave.
