IREC Rule No.1664: Traveling Allowance When Recalled To Duty From Leave

1664. Traveling Allowance When Recalled To Duty From Leave:-

(1)   When a railway servant is compulsorily recalled to duty before expiry of his leave and the leave thereby curtailed by not less than one month, he is entitled to draw traveling allowance as for a journey on tour from the place at which the order of recall reaches him, or, if the journey involves traveling by sea, from the port at which he lands in India to the station in which he is recalled. If the period by which leave is curtailed is less than one month, traveling allowance may be allowed at the discretion of the authority recalling the railways servant.

(2)   If the railway servant recalled to duty is entitled to traveling allowance under Rule 1650, he may not draw traveling allowance under Sub-rule (1).
