Transfer: RBE No.95/1997 – Officers/ Staffs Attached to Reservation Cell

Sub: Posting/ transfer of Officers/ Staffs attached to reservation Cell.

1. The Parliamentary Committee on the Welfare of SC/STs in their First Report (Eleventh Lok Sabha) -reservation for a employment of SC/STs in SE Railway vide para 4.7 has recommended that the incumbents who are inducted in the reservation Cell have to be allowed to continue so that with their experience the Cell is benefited and there is a permanency which will help in dealing with the SCs/STs problems with more involvement and full commitments.

2. The above recommendation has been accepted. Accordingly, it has been decided that SPO(RP)/ Dy.CPO(RP) and the staff posted in the reservation Cells should have a minimum tenure of 3 years. If any officer/ staff has to be shifted out of the Reservation Cell in the Zonal Headquarters within 3 years of posting for any reason, the same should be done with the personal approval of the General Manager.
