Sub: Upgradation of posts of Stenographers attached with Head of Departments to scale of Rs.2000-3200 – Recommendations of the Fourth Pay Commission.
1. Reference Ministry of Railway’s letter of even number dated 20.10.1986 (RBE No.201/1986) on the above subject.
2. A question has been raised as to how the pay of stenographers promoted to grade Rs.2000-3200 in terms of this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 20.10.1986 (RBE No.201/1986), should be fixed. It has since been decided that fixation of pay of stenographers in such cases may be done under Rule 2018-B (FR 22C) R-II.
3. This has the sanction of the President and issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
