Sub: Replacement of Staff Cars-reg.
1. Attention is invited to the instructions contained in Railway Board’s letter No.E(G)2000 AL 4/13 Pt., dated 26.05.2005 (RBE No.90/2005) governing replacement of staff cars. These instructions have been further reviewed by Board.
2. Accordingly, in modification of instructions contained in Board’s letter No.E(G)2000 AL 4/13 Pt., dated 26.05.2005 (RBE No.90/2005), it has been decided that the staff cars originally procured under M&P Plan Head, may be replaced by a new staff car on the basis of 1:1 against condemnation of the old vehicle. The instructions regarding replacement of staff cars originally procured under Revenue or Construction estimate will remain unchanged.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
