RBE No. 84/2008: Railway accommodation – Retention

Sub: Proposal for Retention of Railway accommodation for officers/ staff joining UIC offices in India, on deputation.
Regional units of UIC (International Union of Railways), i.e. Indian Railway Strategic Management Institute (IRSMI) and Asia Regional Unit (ARU) are being setup in New Delhi in association with UIC.
Railway Board have decided that such officers/ staff joining UIC offices in India, on deputation, may be permitted to retain Railway accommodation at their previous place of posting for a period of five years or till the period of deputation, whichever is less.
This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
