Sub: Staff Benefit fund – Additional Ad-hoc allocation for 2006-07.
1. President is pleased to sanction additional ad-hoc contribution of Rs.196 per capita to the Staff Benefit Fund for the year 2006-07, in addition to the annual contribution of Rs.30 per capita.
2. The additional ad-hoc contribution of Rs.196 per capita would be distributed amongst various staff welfare activities as follows:

3. The above allocation may be utilized substantially towards augmenting infrastructural facilities connected with the above mentioned activities to the extent possible, e.g. strengthening of libraries, Laboratories etc. (in case of Education); meeting infrastructural requirements in the institutes/ clubs/ recreational clubs, etc. for the staff/ supervisors and officers; training equipment etc. for scouts/ guides; and facilities for women employees, etc.
3.1 As per extant instructions, the distribution of Rs.25 per capita earmarked for “Recreational facilities to Officers and Supervisory staff” would be decided by the GMs, commensurate with requirements of the institutes/ clubs so that railway masses all over the railway system can enjoy the recreational facilities. Special emphasis may be laid on strengthening the institutions lacking in equipment/ facilities.
3.2 The Scouts and Guides organizations of respective Zonal Railways are authorized to utilize the funds based on Rs.12 per capita allocated above for the purpose brought out above. Where, however, scouts and guides activities are not undertaken, the allocation can be re-appropriated to other activities under the SBF.
4. The distribution of the annual contribution of Rs.30 per capita would, however, remain unchanged.
5. All Zonal Railways/ PUs, etc., may submit a separate report on utilization of the additional allocation after close of the financial year 2006-07.
