RBE No. 32/2000: Sports – Recruitment – Passes to SC/ST

Sub: Recruitment of sportspersons in Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ through Open advertisements – Issue of passes to SC/ST candidates.

1.     A question has been raised as to the need for free passes to the SC/ST candidates for attending the trial/ interview in connection with recruitment against sports quota, through open advertisements. 

2.     After considering the matter in detail, the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) have decided that free pass facility may be extended to the SC/ST candidates for attending the trial/interview for recruitment against sports quota through open advertisements as given to the SC/ST candidates called for written test/ interview for recruitment on the Railways by Railway Administrations and Railway Recruitment Boards. 

3.     This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
