RBE No. 26/2006: Staff Benefit Fund – Dispensaries

Sub: Homeopathic / Ayurvedic dispensories under Staff Benefit Fund – Enhancement of honorarium to physicians.

1. This has reference to Ministry of Railway’s letter of even number, dated 08.12.2005 (RBE No. 212/2005) on the subject matter.
2. The matter regarding enhancement of the honorarium payable to the Homeopathic and Ayurvedic practitioners by Staff Benefit Fund Committees and allocation of funds there for has been further considered. It has been decided to make additional funds available to the SBF Committees who may revise monthly honorarium of the Homeopathic/ Ayurvedic practitioners engaged by them, as under:-

Physicians engaged to work for around 8 hours a day

Rs.6000 p.m.

Rs.10000 p.m

(b)

Physicians engaged to work for around 4 hours a day

Rs.4000 p.m.

Rs.70000 p.m

3. The procedure regarding allocation of necessary additional funds for the purpose would be the same as in para-3 of the Board’s letter dated 08.12.2005 (RBE No. 212/2005).
4. These orders will take effect from 01.03.2006.
5. In case of the zonal Railways, expenditure on this account is chargeable to demand No.11 (Staff Welfare and Amenities) Minor Head “Medical Services” (Control and Superintendence at Headquarters and Divisions). In case of production units etc. the expenditure would be chargeable to corresponding heads of account.
6. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
