RBE No. 25/2006: Direct Recruitment – Upper Age Limit

Sub: Upper age limit for direct recruitment to Group-C and Group-D on the Railways.

Attention is invited to this Ministry’s letter of even number dated 31.03.2006 (RBE No. 11/2006) withdrawing the age relaxation of 3 (three) years above the prescribed upper age limit for recruitment to all Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts including engagement of substitutes with effect from 04.02.2006. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided that the currency of relaxation contained in Board’s letter of even number dated 10.05.1999 (RBE No. 99/1999) may be extended further for a period of 1 (one) year, i.e., up to 03.02.2007. These orders will take effect from 04.02.2006.
It has also been decided that indents placed after issuance of Board’ letter dated 31.01.2006, ibid, may be suitably amended.
