RBE No. 186/2018: Reservation Cell – Posting of Chief Law Assistant

Sub: Recommendation of the Parliamentary Committee on the Welfare of SC/STs posting of Law Assistant/ Chief Law Assistant in Reservation Cell exclusively for dealing with the reservation matters.
Ref: Board’s letter No.96-E(SCT)-I/80/1/Pt.IX, dated 15.06.1998. (RBE No. 129/1998)

Attention is invited to Railway Board’s letter No.96-E(SCT)-I/80/1/Pt.IX, dated 15.06.1998 (RBE No. 129/1998). (copy enclosed), wherein it has been mentioned that a post of Chief Law Assistant/ Law Assistant exclusively for dealing of Court matters on reservation issues may be provided in the reservation cell.
It has been brought to the notice of the Railway Board that above instructions are not being followed in some Railways. It is therefore, once again reiterated that a post of Chief Law Assistant/ Law Assistant exclusively for dealing of Court matters on reservation issues may be provided in the Reservation Cell.
The above may be brought to the notice of all concerned for information and strict compliance.
