Sub: Amendment to proviso to Rule 2 of Railway Services (Conduct) Rules, 1966 – Definition of ‘Government’ for the purpose of Rule 15(3) reg.      

1.     In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby directs that the proviso to Rule 2 of Railway Services (Conduct) Rules, 1966, contained in Appendix-I of Indian Railway Establishment Code, Vol.–I, Fifth Edition, 1985 (Second Reprint Edition, 2003) may be amended as in the Advance Correction Slip No.101 enclosed herewith.

2.     Please acknowledge receipt.

Appendix-I – Railway Services (Conduct) Rules, 1966

In the Railway Services (Conduct) Rules, 1966, in Rule 2, in the proviso below Clause (a), in Line 2, for the existing words and figures “sub-rules (1) and (3) of rule 15”, the words and figures “sub-rule (1) of rule 15”, shall be substituted.
