RBE No. 171/1988: Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules

Sub: Railway servants (Discipline and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 1988.

GSR …… In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968, namely:

1. (1)   These orders may be called the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Amendment Rules, 1988.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Railway Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1968, in item No.1 of Schedule-III, in the entries relating to “General Managers, Director General RDSO and Chief Administrative Officer” for the words “upto and including Junior Administrative Grade”, the words “upto and including Selection Grade Officers of Junior Administrative Grade” shall be substituted.
