RBE No. 106/2019: Scouts and Guide Quota – Recruitment – Procedure

Sub: Recruitment against Scouts and Guides Quota – procedure for.

1. Attention is invited to Para 9 of instructions issued vide this Ministry’s letter of even number circulated under RRB No. 110/2015, dated 21.09.2015. It is implicit there from that nomination of the JAG level Committee for recruitment against Scouts and Guides Quota for posts in Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts with 6th CPC Grade Pay 1800/-) and approval of the Committee’s recommendations rest with General Managers of Zonal Railways.
2. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to empower General Managers of Zonal Railways/ PUs to re-delegate the power for nomination of JAG Committee and acceptance of recommendations/ approval of panel for recruitment against Scouts and Guides Quota for posts in Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts) to PCPOs of Zonal Railways/ PUs. Powers regarding Level-2 recruitment against this quota will continue to be exercised personality by General Manager.
3. This disposes of South East Central Railway’s letter No.P-HQ/RRC/762/2018-19/196, dated 21.05.2019.
