Sub: Engagement of Act Apprentices under Apprentice Act, 1961

Ref:  Board’s letter No.E(MPP)2001/6/7, dated 11.12.2002 (RBE No. 220/2002), E(MPP)2002/6/3, dated 17.12.2004 (RBE No. 258/2004), E(MPP)2003/6/15, dated 03.02.2005 (RBE No. 24/2005) and E(MPP)2003/6/15/Vo.II, dated 30.05.2005 (RBE No. 92/2005).

In terms of Joint Survey conducted by RDAT/Faridabad at TTC/RCF/ Kapurthala the seats allotment of Act Apprentices has been revised from 160 to 190. Action should be initiated for training of Act Apprentices as per the revised quota, which may be adhered to in terms of Board’s letter No.E(MPP)2001/6/7, dated 22.07.2002 (RBE No. 119/2002).

The number of Trade Apprentices to be trained under para 3.3 of the Master Circular on the Railway be revised as under:
