Ration Money Allowance: RBE No.79/2022 – During Work Related Illness Injury Leave & CCL

Sub: Admissibility of Ration Money Allowance (RMA) during Work Related Illness & Injury Leave (WRIIL) and Child Care Leave (CCL).

1. The issue of admissibility of Ration Money Allowance (RMA) during Work Related Illness & Injury Leave (WRIIL) and Child Care Leave (CCL) has been under consideration of Railway Board for some time.

2. The matter has been examined in Board’s Office in consultation with Ministry of Home Affairs. In Indian Railways, RMA is paid to non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel. The admissibility of RMA during CCL and WRIIL to such non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel will be as under:

(c)    During CCL, RMA would be as admissible at full rate for the first 60 days and at half rate for next 60 days of CCL to non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel. No RMA will be admissible beyond 120 days, if CCL is availed for more than 120 days at a stretch.

(d)   RMA will be paid at full rate during the entire period of hospitalization on account of WRIIL. If free diet is given during hospitalization period, then no RMA will be admissible for such period. For period beyond hospitalization, the eligible non-gazetted RPF/RPSF personnel on IRs will be paid full pay and allowances, with no limit regarding the period of leave.

3.     The Other terms and conditions as stipulated in Board’s letter of even number dated 14.06.2018 (RBE No.88/2018) and para 4 of Board’s letter of even number dated 10.06.2009 (RBE No.103/2009) remain unchanged.

    ccl sanction authority and one time how many days can be sanction at a time.
