Pension Rule No.65: Compassionate Allowance

65.  Compassionate Allowance:-

(1)   A railway servant who is dismissed or removed from service shall forfeit his pension and gratuity:

Provided that the authority competent to dismiss or remove him from service may, if the case is deserving of special consideration, sanction a compassionate allowance not exceeding two-thirds of pension or gratuity or both which would have been admissible to him if he had retired on compensation pension.

(2)   A compassionate allowance sanctioned under the proviso to sub-rule (1) shall not be less than three thousand five hundred rupees per mensem.

    सर नमस्ते मेरे पिता जी का अनुकम्पा भत्ता पेंशन स्वीकृत हो गई है ।
    मेरे पिता जी की सर्विस 23 वर्ष है तो क्या पेंशन के साथ ग्रेच्युटी भी मिलेगी ।

    Sir, I am in receipt of compassionate allowance i.e, under pension rule no.65. I request kindly enlighten me that am I eligible for Unique Medical Identify Card ( UMID). If so what is the procedure to get the same please.

    Sir, I am receiving compassionate allowance and also RELHS holder getting medical facilities from railway hospital. Kindly enlighten me that am I eligible to apply to get Unique Medical Identity Card (UMID). If so what is the procedure to get it?.
    Also I humbly request you please tell what is the latest updated amount of compassionate allowance and eligible with effect from please.

    Sir, while granting compassionate allowance of 2/3 pension. ( 1 ) Is it 2/3 penson of full pension or 2/3 pension on the basis of qualifying service?

      Qualifying service. But now pension is eligible after 10 years QS. 50% of last basic is generally the basic pension

        Compassionate allowance will be maximum of 2/3 rd of 50% of last basic pay
