Nursing Sisters: RBE No.350/1985 – Classification under Hours of Employment Regulations (HOER)

Sub:     Classification of Nursing Sisters in scale Rs.455-700 under Hours of Employment Regulations.

1.     The question of reclassification of Nursing Sisters in Railway Hospitals was discussed in the PNM/NFIR meeting held on 30/31.12.1985.

2.     In partial modification of the list of “Supervisory Categories” circulated with Board’s letter No.E(LL) 70/HER/16, dated 04.01.1962, the Railway Board have decided that the category of Nursing Sisters in Railway Hospitals (Nurses Grade ‘A’ in Central Hospital of Northern Railway) Grade Rs.455-700 (RS) may be reclassified as “continuous” for the purpose of application of Hours of Employment Regulations.

3.     With a view to implement the aforesaid expeditiously, proposal for creation of necessary Leave Reserve posts with matching surrender, duly concurred by your FA&CAO, should be forwarded to Railway Board.

4.     The above issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Department of Railways.
