IREM Rule No.101: IREM Vol-I, Chapter-I, Section-D: Verification Of Character And Antecedents Before Appointment And Exclusion From Government Service

101.    The appointing authority should satisfy itself that the character and antecedents of the person to be appointed are such as do not render him unduitable for appointment to Government service in accordance with the instructions issued by the Railway Board to Railway administrations from time to time.
