IREC Rule No.1328: (FR-33) Pay Fixation On Officiating Post

  1. (FR-33) Pay Fixation On Officiating Post:-

When a railway servant officiates in a post the pay of which has been fixed at a rate personal to another railway servant, a competent authority may permit him to draw pay at any rate not exceeding the rate so fixed or if the rate so fixed be a time-scale, may grant him initial pay not exceeding the lowest stage of that time-scale, and future increments not exceeding those of the sanctioned scale. 

Audit Instruction:

The lowest stage of that time-scale: If a Government servant, who is personally qualified to draw overseas pay, if appointed to officiate in a post on a time-scale, the pay of which is fixed personally for the substantive holder of the post and includes sterling overseas pay, the lowest stage in the time-scale, for the purposes of FR-33 (1328) is the minimum of the time-scale, plus the sterling overseas pay included in the pay fixed personally for the substantive holder of the post.
