Sub: Grant of relief to Central Govt. Pensioners and Family Pensioners, under the Liberalised Pension Rules, Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972 and the Extra-ordinary Pension Rules.

A copy of OM No.42(I)-Pen/86, dated 17.01.1986 of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Deptt. of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare) on the above subject (with 10 spare copies) is sent herewith for your information and necessary action. As stated in para 2.2 thereof, these orders will apply to Railway Pensioners also.
