Sub:   Institution of a small reward to Railway employees who detect Hot Boxes on the run.

While considering development of Hot Boxes Detector Systems for Indian Railways, the Ministry of Railways have decided that the General Managers should institute a small reward to railway employees who detect Hot Boxes on the run. This will go a long way in motivating staff and lead to greater safety. The Ministry of Railways, therefore, desire that under the existing system of awards/ rewards to railway employees, another small reward may be introduced and suitable instructions issued to all concerned.

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
