Honorarium: RBE No.164/2000 – Paper Setters & Evaluators

Sub: Grant of honorarium to the Railway Officer/ Staff for setting question papers and evaluation of answer sheets in connection with the examination conducted by Railway Training Centres.

Ministry of Railways have had under consideration the question of increase in the rates of honorarium for setting question papers and evaluation of answer books, as prescribed in the Board’s letter No.E(G)87 HO1-6, dated 07.07.1989 (RBE No.173/1989). It has now been decided in supersession of Board’s letter dated 07.07.1989 that Gazetted Officers and Sr./Jr. Subordinates who are not staff of the Training Centers and required to set question papers and evaluate the answer books in connection with the examinations conducted by the various Railway Training Centres may be paid honorarium as indicated below:-

For setting question papers – Rs.150 per question paper

For evaluation of answer sheet – Rs.5 per answer sheet.

The above has the sanction of the President and issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
