Fixed Medical Allowance: RBE No.209/2000 – Railway Pensioners/ Family Pensioners

Sub: Implementation of Government’s decision on the recommendations of the 5th Central Pay Commission grant of fixed medical allowance @ Rs.100 p.m. to the Railway pensioners/ family pensioners.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter of even number dated 21.04.1999 (RBE No.65/1999).
1. In the list of Railway hospitals, health units, etc. appearing in Annexure-III to Board’s letter referred to above, ‘Morvi health unit’ appearing under Rajkot Division under the heading ‘Western Railway’ should be treated as lock up dispensary with effect from 03.06.1999. Thus, all Railway pensioners/ Family pensioners who are residing in the area of Morvi where a lock up dispensary is situated and where no other Railway health unit is available, shall be entitled to grant of Medical Allowance @ Rs.100 per month provided they opt for the same, subject to fulfilment of all other terms and conditions mentioned in Railway Board’s letter referred to above.
2. A copy of this letter may be forwarded to all the Banks, Post Offices and other pension payment offices situated in the District where ‘Morvi Health Unit’ is situated.
