Family Pension – Unmarried Daughters

Sub: Raising the age limit from 24 to 30 years for the purpose of entitlement of Family Pension for the unmarried daughters of a Government Servants/ Railway servants.

The matter raising the age limit from 24 to 30 years for the purpose of entitlement of Family Pension to the unmarried daughters of a Railway servant was discussed with the staff side in the National Council. After careful consideration, the Government have decided to raise the present age limit of 24 years to 30 years for the purpose of entitlement of Family Pension to the unmarried daughters of a Railway servant.

Necessary amendment to the relevant provision of MRPR – 1950 will issue shortly.

    While a elder daughter did not applied for family pension of a deceased railway employee and passes away, and the younger applied after the death of his elder,from which date she eligible for family pension,keeping in view that she was also a beneficiary if her elder would granted family pension.
