Daily Allowance: RBE No.26/1987 – Break-down Duties

Sub:  Grant of Daily Allowance to Officers supervising Break-down duties lit the site of accident/ break-down.

As a result of discussions with the Federation of Railway Officers’ Association, the Board have decided that the Officers supervising Break-down duties at the site of accident/ break-down may also be granted full daily allowance without any stipulation regarding distance from Head Quarters or period of absence from Head Quarters, as is admissible to the non-gazetted staff attending to break-down duties.

This has the sanction of the President and issues with the concurrence of the finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways. Necessary correction slip to Rule 430 R-I (1971 Edition) will be issued in due course.

These orders will take effect from the date of issue. This would be governed by the other conditions and definitions as stipulated for non-gazetted staff under Rule 430 R-I (1971 Edition).
