Casual Labour: RBE No.110/1986 – Daily Wages

Sub:   Payment of daily wages for casual labour (unskilled) employed in administrative offices located outside Delhi/ New Delhi.

1. Consequent to the introduction of five day week working in Railway offices, it has been decided to revise the daily wage rate of unskilled casual labour employed in those establishments where five-day week has been introduced, on the basis of the following formula:-

Present rate of daily wage X 7-1/2 ÷ 6-1/2 = Revised rate of daily wage

2.     The revised rate will be effective from 09.01.1985.

3.     For payment of daily wages for casual labour (unskilled) employed in Railway Offices in Delhi/ New Delhi, Department of Railways letter No.E(LL)85/HER/1-39, dated 07.01.1986 (RBE No.03/1986) may please be referred to.

4.     This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Department of Railways.
